COLABS is Pakistan’s largest co-working space, designed to foster collaboration, innovation, and business growth. With a strong focus on providing a supportive ecosystem for entrepreneurs, COLABS aimed to enhance its brand identity, service design, and physical workspace to better serve its members.
Our Role
We partnered with COLABS to refine their brand strategy, improve the member experience, and optimize the spatial design of their co-working spaces.
Reimagining communal workspaces
A three-day design sprint to explore the needs and challenges of the individual and entity tenants of shared workspaces helped define actionable solutions.
Our process began with deep stakeholder collaboration, ensuring that all strategic decisions were aligned with COLABS' vision. In line with the vision possible services and activities were also ideated to foster the intended culture of community, and integrated into future operations protocols.
The space, being an essential vehicle of service delivery, was also reimagined to make it welcoming and inducive to endless opportunities of engagement and getting productive work done. A room-by-room walkthrough with stakeholders to reassess and refine floor plans based on research insights helped enable many proposed interventions.
Bringing the Brand to Life
Along with re-evaluating the brand to make sure the mission, vision, and values aligned, the personality was brought to life with an activity to create a tone of voice to better reflect COLABS’ community-driven attitude.
Design Solutions & Space Optimization
Our design solutions enhanced service efficiency and workspace usability by creating operations plans and by optimizing space layouts for collaboration, improving wayfinding, and streamlining service touchpoints. This created a more intuitive, efficient, and community-driven co-working experience.
The Outcome
COLABS has transformed co-working spaces in Pakistan, creating a strong community within the tech ecosystem and acting as an agnostic place for the interaction of people from different industries.
